Our Legacy

Some combination of The Montgomery Family has been singing as a family ministry since 1971.

What started as parents with two young daughters has changed with the girls growing up, marriage, starting families, etc. The group today consists of the two sisters, Robin Montgomery Stegall, Lisa Montgomery Simpson, and Lisa’s husband, Jeff.

The core of The Montgomery’s ministry has always been in the local church.
The goal is to provide southern gospel music, strong lyrics,
and testimony that will bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
To the Christian, it’s our desire that they will leave the concert with a closer walk with the lord.
For everyone, leaving the event talking about how good the Lord is.

The Montgomery’s also perform in auditoriums as well as outdoor events,
for gospel sings as well as civic functions, and church socials.

The Montgomery Family has recorded multiple projects and has sung all over the east coast.
They have also had the opportunity to do several mission trips into Canada.

While the music ministry is a vital part of ministry
it is also important to each member of the family to be
actively involved in their local place of worship.

Jeff and Lisa are members of
First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, Indian Trail, NC,
where Rev. Mike Whitson is their pastor.

Robin is a member of
Hilltop Church in Fuquay Varina, NC
where Dr. Jeff Jones is her pastor.

Each church pastor, staff, and congregation support and encourage the ministry of The Montgomery’s.

The Montgomery Family works to set the mood for worship,
whether it is leading up to a message by a speaker,
and certainly try to lead all their programs to a time of invitation
even in a concert setting.

Their concerts utilize a mix of soundtracks, as well as some music with the piano or a cappella.
The program will include some of today’s favorite current gospel songs, as well as some of the classics in hopes that something will appeal to every generation in your congregation.
